India’s rising opener Abhishek Sharma capped off a dream run in the Asia Cup 2025 by winning the Player of the Tournament (POTT) award. Alongside the trophy and cash prize, the 25-year-old walked away with a luxury SUV — the Haval H9.
Abhishek Sharma’s Stellar Tournament
Sharma was the tournament’s highest run-scorer, smashing 314 runs in seven matches at an average of 44.85 and a strike rate of 200. He scored three fifties, including a blistering 37-ball 75 against Bangladesh in the Super Four stage. While his final outing against Pakistan was modest, his earlier contributions ensured India finished the tournament unbeaten.
How Much Does the Haval H9 Cost?
The Haval H9 SUV is manufactured by Chinese auto giant Great Wall Motor (GWM). According to the official Haval Saudi Arabia website, the SUV is priced at 142,199.8 Saudi Riyals, which is approximately ₹33.6 lakh (INR). The H9 is marketed as a premium off-road and family SUV, blending rugged capabilities with comfort.
Celebrations with Shubman Gill
After receiving the keys, Abhishek was spotted with teammate and opening partner Shubman Gill, seated inside the black Haval H9 decorated with a red ribbon. The duo clicked selfies in their India jerseys, with Gill jokingly introducing Sharma as “Raju da munda” during the presentation.
Abhishek Sharma on Winning the Car
Speaking after the final, Sharma expressed his delight:
“Getting a car is always a pleasure. My plan was clear — to play with intent from the first ball. I worked really hard on that, and the support I got from my coach and captain was very special. Of course, sometimes you will fail, but if you stick to the process, it helps the team win.”
With the Asia Cup 2025 triumph, Abhishek Sharma has not only made his mark with the bat but also driven home in style with a brand-new Haval H9 SUV.
